Chris Young Silences Critics and Clears His Name After Assault Charges Are Dropped

  • by

Chris Young confidently responded to his critics, known as "trolls," after having all charges dropped in relation to his arrest last Monday.

The vocalist used social media to share a surveillance video and convey a message to those who implied that he was at fault for touching a law enforcement officer.

On Friday, the Nashville District Attorney Glenn Funk declared that he had completed his examination of the evidence, resulting in the dismissal of charges. The Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission had already acknowledged their role in urging Young to keep his distance when he attempted to intervene in their license check.

A video, which was acquired by Taste of Country, displays Young's behavior as he tries to prevent an agent without displaying any signs of aggression. From one perspective, it is unclear whether Young made any physical contact with the man at all.

The singer of "Young Love & Saturday Nights" denies having physically interacted with anyone. In a recent TikTok video, he addresses the incident publicly for the first time.

In response to the trolls who are advising against touching a cop, the person clarifies that they did not physically touch the cop.

Since all charges have been dismissed, Young is no longer legally involved in the incident. It is expected that he will resume his promotion for his upcoming album, Young Love & Saturday Night, which is scheduled to be released on March 22.
