Chris Young proudly reacted to the critics after having all charges dropped following his arrest on Monday.
The vocalist used social media to share a surveillance video and convey a message to those who implied that he was at fault for touching a law enforcement officer.
On Friday, the Nashville District Attorney Glenn Funk declared that he had completed his examination of the evidence, leading to the dismissal of charges. The Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission had previously acknowledged that they had urged Young to "create distance" as he had attempted to intervene in their license check.
Taste of Country has obtained video footage that shows Young trying to prevent an agent without displaying much aggression. From one perspective, it is unclear if he actually made physical contact with the man.
The singer of the song "Young Love & Saturday Nights" denies any physical contact with anyone. In a recent TikTok video, he addresses the incident publicly for the first time.
"I didn't physically make contact with the police officer," he states, responding to those individuals who are criticizing him and advising against any interaction with law enforcement.
Since all charges have been dismissed, Young is no longer legally affected by the incident. He will probably resume his promotion for his upcoming album, Young Love & Saturday Night, which is scheduled to be released on March 22.
