Luke Combs Unveils “Category 10”: A New Nashville Bar Experience

  • by

Luke Combs has made progress towards opening his bar in downtown Nashville by revealing its name, Category 10, on Monday night (Jan. 29).

The singer expresses his enthusiasm for an upcoming event in a video message shared on his social media. The video was recorded backstage at the Grand Ole Opry, where the singer is a recognized member. Additionally, he is collaborating with the Opry Entertainment Group to launch his new bar.

As you all are aware, hurricanes can reach a maximum intensity of Category 5. However, we decided to go beyond that and create a new category, Category 10.

"It's going to be an incredible country music bar. Located in downtown Nashville, it will offer a variety of food and drinks. Whatever you desire, we will have it. It will be a fantastic experience," he added. "I am eagerly anticipating the opening of this venue. I'm excited to see all of you there."

Although it wasn't mentioned in his social media announcement, the name Category 10 brings to mind Combs' first single, "Hurricane." This song, released in 2016, drew a comparison between unexpectedly encountering an ex and the destructive impact of a natural disaster. "Hurricane" not only became Combs' first chart-topping hit but also marked the beginning of his impressive streak of No. 1 hits. To this day, all 17 of his official radio singles have reached the top of the country charts, setting a record.

In April 2023, Combs revealed information about his bar in Nashville. He is among a group of famous performers who have their names associated with popular establishments in the downtown area. The arrival of Category 10 adds Combs to the list of artists such as Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert, Dierks Bentley, and more.
