Luke Combs has made progress in his journey towards opening his bar in downtown Nashville. During a Monday night event on January 29th, he excitedly disclosed the name of the establishment, which will be called Category 10.
The singer expressed his enthusiasm in a video message shared on his social media platform. The video was recorded backstage at the Grand Ole Opry. Combs, who is a recognized member of the Opry, is additionally collaborating with the Opry Entertainment Group to launch his new bar.
As you are already aware, hurricanes can reach a maximum intensity of Category 5. Therefore, we decided to create an even more extreme classification by doubling it and labeling it as Category 10.
"It's going to be an incredible country music bar. Located in downtown Nashville, we'll have a wide selection of food and drinks for everyone's taste. Whatever you desire, we'll make sure to provide it. This event will be filled with excitement," he enthusiastically expressed. "I am eagerly anticipating the opening of this establishment and cannot wait to meet all of you there."
Although it wasn't mentioned in his social media post, the name Category 10 is reminiscent of Combs' first song, "Hurricane," which draws a parallel between the impact of unexpectedly encountering an ex and the destructive force of a natural disaster. Released in 2016, "Hurricane" became Combs' first song to reach the top of the charts. This marked the beginning of a remarkable achievement for Combs, as all 17 of his officially released singles have since reached the number one spot on the country music charts.
In April 2023, Combs revealed information about his bar in Nashville. He is one of several famous musicians who have their names attached to popular venues in the downtown area.
