Chris Young Clears His Name: Surveillance Video Exonerates Singer After Assault Charges Dropped

  • by

Chris Young confidently responded to his critics, commonly referred to as "trolls," after the charges against him were dropped. He showcased his satisfaction and relief after being declared innocent following his arrest on Monday.

The vocalist used social media to share a surveillance video and convey a message to those who accused him of being at fault for touching a law enforcement officer.

On Friday, the charges were dismissed after Nashville District Attorney Glenn Funk stated that he had completed his examination of the evidence. The Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission had previously acknowledged that they had encouraged Young to stay away after he attempted to get involved in their license inspection.

A video that Taste of Country obtained shows Young trying to stop an agent without displaying much aggression. One perspective in the video raises doubts about whether Young even made physical contact with the man.

The singer of the song "Young Love & Saturday Nights" claims that he never made physical contact with anyone. He recently uploaded a video on TikTok where he addresses the incident for the first time.

The person who wrote this message is addressing the trolls who are advising against touching a police officer. They clarify that they did not actually touch the officer.

After having all charges against him dismissed, Young is no longer legally affected by the incident. It is expected that he will resume his promotional activities for his upcoming album, "Young Love & Saturday Night," which is scheduled to be released on March 22.
