Chris Young confidently responded to his critics, who had accused him of assault, after all the charges against him were dropped following his arrest on Monday.
The vocalist used social media to share a surveillance video and address those who accused him of wrongdoing for touching a law enforcement officer.
On Friday, the Nashville District Attorney Glenn Funk declared that he had concluded his examination of the evidence and decided to drop the charges. This decision was made after the Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission acknowledged their involvement in pressuring Young to keep his distance when he attempted to intervene in their license check.
A video obtained by Taste of Country depicts Young's behavior as non-aggressive while attempting to prevent an agent from proceeding. From one perspective, it is unclear if Young made any physical contact with the man.
The singer of the song "Young Love & Saturday Nights" asserts that he did not physically make contact with anyone. He recently posted a video on TikTok where he addresses the incident publicly for the first time.
The person who wrote this message wants to address the trolls who are saying not to touch a police officer. They want to clarify that they did not actually touch the officer.
Since all charges have been dismissed, Young is no longer facing any legal consequences for the incident. He can now focus on promoting his upcoming album, Young Love & Saturday Night, which is scheduled to be released on March 22.
