Chris Young Defends Himself Against ‘Trolls’ After Assault Charges are Dropped

  • by

Chris Young confidently responded to his critics, referred to as "trolls," after having all charges dropped following his arrest last Monday.

The musician used social media to share a surveillance video and convey a message to those who accused him of being at fault for touching a law enforcement officer.

On Friday, Nashville District Attorney Glenn Funk declared that he had completed his examination of the evidence and decided to drop the charges. The Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission had already acknowledged that they had pressured Young to keep his distance when he attempted to interfere in their license check.

A video obtained by Taste of Country depicts Young trying to prevent an agent without showing any signs of aggression. From one perspective, it is uncertain whether Young made any physical contact with the man.

The singer of the song "Young Love & Saturday Nights" claims that he did not physically make contact with anyone. He recently posted a video on his TikTok account where he addresses the incident publicly for the first time.

The individual who wrote this message is responding to the trolls who are advising against touching a police officer. They clarify that they did not physically make contact with the officer.

Since all charges have been dismissed, Young is no longer facing any legal consequences for the incident. He can now focus on promoting his upcoming album, Young Love & Saturday Night, which is scheduled to be released on March 22.
