Chris Young Clears His Name: Assault Charges Dropped and Trolls Silenced

  • by

Chris Young confidently responded to the online critics or "trolls" who had targeted him after the assault charges against him were dismissed. Young expressed his satisfaction and relief in being vindicated after his arrest last Monday.

The vocalist used social media to share surveillance footage and address anyone who accused him of being at fault for touching a law enforcement officer.

On Friday, the Nashville District Attorney Glenn Funk declared that he has completed his examination of the evidence, resulting in the dismissal of charges. The Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission had confessed to urging Young to "create distance" after he attempted to interfere with their license check.

Taste of Country has acquired a video which reveals that Young displayed minimal aggression while attempting to prevent an agent. From one perspective, it is unclear whether he made any physical contact with the man.

The singer of "Young Love & Saturday Nights" claims that he never made physical contact with anyone. He recently addressed the incident in a TikTok video, marking the first time he has spoken about it.

"I want to address those individuals who are criticizing me by saying, 'Do not physically harm a police officer' … I want to clarify that I did not make any physical contact with him," he states.

After all the charges have been dismissed, Young is no longer facing any legal consequences for the incident. As a result, he will probably resume his efforts to promote his upcoming album, Young Love & Saturday Night, which is scheduled to be released on March 22.
