Luke Combs has made progress in his plans to open his bar in downtown Nashville. During the evening of Monday, January 29th, he disclosed the chosen name for the establishment, which is Category 10.
The singer expresses his enthusiasm for an upcoming event in a video message shared on his social media platform. He recorded the message backstage at the Grand Ole Opry, where he holds the official title of Opry member. Additionally, he is partnering with the Opry Entertainment Group to launch his new bar.
As you are aware, hurricanes have a maximum strength of Category 5. However, we decided to surpass that limit and create a new category called Category 10.
"It's going to be an amazing country music bar. Located in downtown Nashville, it will offer a variety of food and drinks. Whatever you desire, we will make sure to provide it. The atmosphere will be filled with excitement and enjoyment," he expressed eagerly. "I am extremely excited for the grand opening and can't wait to have all of you join us."
Although he didn't mention it on social media, the name Category 10 reminds us of Combs' very first single, "Hurricane." This song, released in 2016, drew a parallel between the emotional impact of unexpectedly encountering an ex and the destructive force of a natural disaster. "Hurricane" not only became Combs' first song to reach the top of the charts, but it also marked the beginning of his remarkable streak of 17 consecutive No. 1 hits on the country charts, which still continues today.
In April 2023, Combs revealed information about his bar in Nashville. He is among a group of famous musicians who have invested in popular establishments in the downtown area. The opening of Category 10 adds Combs to the list of well-known artists such as Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert, Dierks Bentley, and several others.
