Chris Young Cleared of Assault Charges: Singer Responds to ‘Trolls’ and Sets the Record Straight

  • by

Chris Young confidently responded to his critics, known as "trolls," after having all assault charges against him dropped. He showed his strength and determination in light of his arrest last Monday.

The vocalist utilized social media to share a surveillance video and convey a message to those who accused him of wrongdoing for touching a law enforcement officer.

On Friday, Nashville District Attorney Glenn Funk declared that the charges had been dismissed after completing his examination of the evidence. The Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission had acknowledged their involvement in pressuring Young to step back when he attempted to interfere with their license check.

A video, which was obtained by Taste of Country, depicts Young displaying minimal aggression while attempting to prevent an agent. From one perspective, it is doubtful whether he made any physical contact with the individual.

The singer of "Young Love & Saturday Nights" denies any physical contact with anyone. He addresses the incident for the first time in a recently uploaded video on his TikTok account.

The person states that they did not physically make contact with the police officer, in response to those who are criticizing them and saying not to touch law enforcement.

Since all charges have been dismissed, Young is no longer facing any legal consequences for the incident. It is expected that he will now focus on promoting his forthcoming album, Young Love & Saturday Night, which is scheduled to be released on March 22.
