Chris Young Clears His Name: Assault Charges Dropped and Trolls Shut Down

  • by

Chris Young confidently responded to his critics, commonly referred to as 'trolls,' after having all assault charges against him dropped. This response came in light of his arrest on Monday, which now holds no legal consequences for him.

The vocalist used social media to share a surveillance video and convey a message to anyone implying that he was at fault for touching a law enforcement officer.

On Friday, the Nashville District Attorney, Glenn Funk, announced that he had completed his examination of the evidence and decided to drop the charges. The Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission had acknowledged their involvement in urging Young to step back after he attempted to interfere with their license check.

A video obtained by Taste of Country depicts Young attempting to restrain an agent without displaying much aggression. From one perspective, it is unclear whether he made any physical contact with the man at all.

The singer of "Young Love & Saturday Nights" claims that he never made physical contact with anyone. He recently posted a video on TikTok where he addresses the incident publicly for the first time.

The person who wrote this is responding to trolls who are telling him not to touch a police officer. He clarifies that he did not touch the officer.

After having all the charges against him dropped, Young is no longer facing any legal consequences for the incident. As a result, he will probably resume his efforts in promoting his upcoming album called Young Love & Saturday Night, which is scheduled to be released on March 22.
