Luke Combs has made progress towards the opening of his upcoming bar in downtown Nashville. During a Monday night announcement, he disclosed the name of his establishment, which will be called Category 10.
The singer expresses his enthusiasm in a video message shared on his social media. He filmed the message while backstage at the Grand Ole Opry. Combs is not only a recognized member of the Opry but is also collaborating with the Opry Entertainment Group to launch his new bar.
As you all are aware, hurricanes are categorized based on their strength, with Category 5 being the most intense. However, we decided to go beyond that and create a new category called Category 10.
"It's going to be an incredible country music bar. Located in downtown Nashville, it will offer delicious food and a wide selection of drinks. We are determined to fulfill all your desires and provide everything you could possibly want. This place is going to be extremely entertaining," he expressed with excitement. "I am eagerly anticipating the grand opening and I am looking forward to seeing all of you there."
Although not explicitly stated in his social media announcement, the name Category 10 also brings to mind Combs' first single, "Hurricane." This song, released in 2016, draws a comparison between unexpectedly encountering an ex and the catastrophic impact of a natural disaster. "Hurricane" became Combs' first chart-topping hit and marked the beginning of his remarkable achievement of consecutively reaching No. 1 on the country charts. To this day, all 17 of Combs' official radio singles have achieved this feat.
In April 2023, Combs revealed information about his bar located in Nashville. He is among a group of popular artists, such as Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert, and Dierks Bentley, who have also attached their names to popular establishments in the downtown area. Combs joins this esteemed list with the opening of Category 10.
