Chris Young Clears His Name: Assault Charges Dropped and Trolls Shut Down

Chris Young confidently responded to his critics, referred to as "trolls," after the charges against him were dropped following his arrest last Monday.

The musician used social media to share a surveillance video and convey a message to anyone who accused him of being at fault for touching a police officer.

On Friday, the Nashville District Attorney, Glenn Funk, declared that he had completed his examination of the evidence and decided to dismiss the charges. The Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission had acknowledged their involvement in pressuring Young to keep his distance after he attempted to intervene in their license check.

A video obtained by Taste of Country depicts Young's behavior as non-aggressive while attempting to prevent an agent from proceeding. From one perspective, it is unclear whether he made physical contact with the man.

The singer of the song "Young Love & Saturday Nights" claims that he never made physical contact with anyone. He recently uploaded a video on TikTok where he addresses the incident publicly for the first time.

In response to those who criticize and advise against engaging with law enforcement, the person clarifies that they did not physically make contact with the police officer.

Young is no longer facing any charges, so legally, the incident is resolved for him. He will probably go back to promoting his upcoming album called Young Love & Saturday Night, which is scheduled to be released on March 22.
