Luke Combs has made progress towards the opening of his upcoming bar in downtown Nashville. During the evening of January 29th, he unveiled the name of the bar, which will be called Category 10.
The singer expresses his immense enthusiasm in a video message shared on his social media platform. The video was recorded backstage at the renowned Grand Ole Opry. Combs, who is now an official member of the Opry, is further adding to his accomplishments by collaborating with the Opry Entertainment Group to launch his own bar.
As most of you are aware, hurricanes have a maximum strength of Category 5. However, we have decided to go beyond that and create a new category, Category 10.
"It's going to be an amazing country music bar. Located in downtown Nashville, it will offer a wide variety of food and drinks. Whatever you desire, we will make sure to have it. It will be an incredibly enjoyable experience," he enthusiastically expressed. "I am eagerly counting down the days until this establishment opens. I can't wait to have all of you join us there."
Although he didn't specifically state it in his social media post, the name Category 10 is reminiscent of Combs' first song, "Hurricane," which draws a parallel between the aftermath of unexpectedly encountering an ex and the aftermath of a destructive natural calamity. Released in 2016, "Hurricane" became Combs' first song to reach the top of the charts. This marked the beginning of Combs' remarkable feat of achieving 17 consecutive No. 1 hits on the country charts, a streak that still continues today.
Combs initially revealed information about his bar in Nashville in April 2023. He is among a group of famous musicians who have invested in a popular establishment in the downtown area. The opening of Category 10 adds Combs to the list of renowned artists like Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert, Dierks Bentley, and numerous others who have their names associated with bars in the area.
