Luke Combs Unveils “Category 10”: Nashville’s Newest Honky Tonk

  • by

Luke Combs has made progress in his plans to open a bar in downtown Nashville. He recently shared the name of his upcoming establishment, which will be called Category 10.

The singer expresses his enthusiasm in a video posted on his social media account, filmed backstage at the Grand Ole Opry. Combs is not only a recognized member of the Opry but is also collaborating with the Opry Entertainment Group to launch his new bar.

As you may already be aware, hurricanes are classified on a scale of 1 to 5, with Category 5 being the most powerful. However, we decided to go beyond that and create a new category called Category 10.

"It's going to be an amazing country music bar. Located in downtown Nashville, it will offer a variety of food and drinks. Whatever you desire, we will provide it. It will be a great source of enjoyment," he enthusiastically stated. "I am eagerly anticipating the opening of this establishment and cannot wait to welcome all of you."

Although he didn't mention it in his social media announcement, the name Category 10 reminds us of Combs' first single, "Hurricane." This song, released in 2016, drew parallels between unexpectedly encountering an ex and the destructive impact of a natural disaster. "Hurricane" became Combs' first chart-topping hit and marked the beginning of his impressive streak of No. 1 hits. Since then, all 17 of Combs' official radio singles have reached the top of the country charts, setting a record that still stands today.

Combs initially revealed information about his bar in Nashville in April 2023. He is among a group of famous celebrities who have invested in popular establishments in the downtown area. By opening Category 10, he joins the likes of renowned artists such as Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert, Dierks Bentley, and several others.

Listed below are the top 20 songs by Luke Combs that showcase his ability to defy expectations and prove his critics wrong. These songs are sure to impress any country music fan.
