Loretta Lynn's son, Ernest, recently underwent surgery to treat his kidney failure. Initially, there were concerns that the surgery may not have been effective. However, recent updates from Ernest's wife, Crystal, indicate that his health has shown significant improvements as of Monday (Jan. 29).
Crystal expresses on Facebook that she cannot provide any logical explanation for the events she is experiencing, except for the intervention of a higher power. She mentions how one day they were unable to achieve a successful dialysis treatment for a total of three weeks, but suddenly, the next day, they were able to. She also describes how their circumstances were becoming more severe at one point, but then they took a turn for the better the following day. Crystal remarks on the uncertainty of the future at one moment, but suddenly, they now have a strong belief that the future holds positive outcomes.
The woman continues to express that GOD is capable of accomplishing things that we as humans cannot achieve, and she affirms that HE has indeed achieved it! Crystal also uploaded a picture of Ernest recovering, sitting on a chair in a medical facility. He is connected to machines, but overall seems to be resting comfortably.
During the time when Ernest was going through his medical challenges, Crystal reached out to fans and asked for their support and prayers for her husband's recovery. In her most recent update, she emphasizes the significant role that prayer has played in Ernest's improved health.
She expresses her gratitude, acknowledging that none of their accomplishments would have been possible without the faith, prayers, and support of others. She thanks everyone for being a part of their support system and for taking the time to pray for them. She is also thankful for everyone who is a part of God's army, and they will be eternally grateful.
In addition, she points out that Ernest has the opportunity to return home and recover after his time in the hospital.
Loretta Lynn has survived two of her children that she had with her late husband, Oliver "Doolittle" Lynn. The first was their oldest daughter, Betty Sue, who passed away in 2013 due to complications from emphysema. The second was their oldest son, Jack Benny, who tragically drowned in 1984 while trying to cross a river on their property in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee.
Lynn passed away at the age of 90 on October 4, 2022, in her residence in Hurricane Mills. Throughout her life, she achieved immense success as an artist in the country music genre and held the record for being the female country performer with the highest number of awards.
