Ernest, the son of Loretta Lynn, recently underwent a surgery to treat his kidney failure. Initially, there were concerns about the success of the surgery. However, Ernest's wife Crystal shared an update on Monday (Jan. 29) stating that he has started to experience significant improvements in his health.
Crystal shared on Facebook that she cannot find any logical explanation for the positive turn of events, except attributing it to a higher power, God. She mentions how one day they were unable to achieve a successful dialysis session for a total of three weeks, but the next day they were able to. Additionally, their situation seemed more dire on one day, but the following day it improved. They went from feeling uncertain about what the future held to having confidence that the future will be promising.
Crystal expresses her belief that GOD is capable of accomplishing things that we, as humans, cannot. She further states that GOD has indeed accomplished what seemed impossible. Crystal also shares a picture of Ernest recovering in a medical facility, sitting in a chair. He is connected to machines but appears to be resting comfortably.
During Ernest's medical journey, Crystal has reached out to fans for support and prayers for her husband's recovery. In her most recent update, she emphasizes the significant role that prayer has played in Ernest's progress towards better health.
The writer expresses gratitude for the help and support they received, acknowledging that it wouldn't have been possible without the faith of others, their belief in God, and the prayers and support they offered. They thank everyone for being a part of their support system, for taking the time to pray for them, and for being part of God's army. They express eternal gratitude for all of this.
Additionally, she mentions that Ernest has the opportunity to return home and recuperate following his time in the hospital.
Loretta Lynn had the unfortunate experience of losing two of her children, who she had with her late husband, Oliver "Doolittle" Lynn. The first was their oldest daughter, Betty Sue, who passed away in 2013 due to complications from emphysema. The second was their eldest son, Jack Benny, who tragically drowned in 1984 while trying to cross a river on their property in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee.
Lynn passed away on October 4, 2022, at her residence in Hurricane Mills. At the age of 90, she had established herself as one of the most accomplished artists in the country music genre. Lynn held the record for being the female country performer with the highest number of awards throughout her lifetime.
