Loretta Lynn's son, Ernest, recently received positive news regarding his recovery after undergoing a critical surgery to treat his kidney failure. In the beginning, there were concerns that the surgery may not have been effective. However, Ernest's wife, Crystal, shared an update on Monday (Jan. 29) stating that he has started showing significant improvements in his health.
Crystal expressed on Facebook that she is unable to find any logical explanation for the positive change in her situation other than attributing it to a higher power, God. She mentions that there was a period of three weeks where they were unable to achieve successful dialysis, but suddenly, the following day, they were able to. Crystal also highlights the fluctuation in the seriousness of their circumstances, where one day they were facing more severe situations, but the next day the circumstances were not as dire. Additionally, she mentions that there was uncertainty about what the future held, but suddenly they gained confidence and optimism that the future would be bright.
She continues to mention that GOD has the ability to accomplish things that we cannot, and HE has indeed done it!! Crystal also posted a picture of Ernest recovering in what seems to be a chair at a healthcare facility, connected to devices but otherwise resting peacefully.
During Ernest's challenging medical journey, Crystal has reached out to fans for their support and prayers for her husband's recovery. In her most recent update, she emphasizes the significant impact that prayer has had on Ernest's improvement in health.
The author expresses that none of their achievements would have been possible without the faith, prayers, and support of the reader, as well as the presence of their almighty God. They extend their gratitude to everyone who has been a part of their support system, cared enough to pray for them, and contributed to what they consider to be God's army. They express eternal gratitude for all of this.
Additionally, she points out that Ernest has the opportunity to return home and recover after his time in the hospital.
Loretta Lynn's late husband, Oliver "Doolittle" Lynn, had two children with her who unfortunately passed away before her. Their oldest daughter named Betty Sue died in 2013 due to complications from emphysema. Similarly, their oldest son named Jack Benny tragically drowned while trying to cross a river on their family property in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee back in 1984.
Lynn passed away on October 4, 2022, at her residence in Hurricane Mills at the age of 90. Throughout her life, she achieved remarkable success as one of the most accomplished artists in country music. Lynn holds the record for being the female country performer with the highest number of awards.
