Ernest, the son of Loretta Lynn, recently underwent a surgery to treat his kidney failure. Initially, there were concerns that the surgery may not have been successful. However, on Monday (Jan. 29), Ernest's wife Crystal shared an update stating that he is experiencing significant improvements in his health.
Crystal expresses on Facebook that she is unable to find any logical reason for the sudden changes in their situation other than attributing them to a higher power, God. She shares how one day they were unable to successfully undergo dialysis for a span of three weeks, but the following day they were able to. Similarly, one day they were confronted with potentially grave circumstances, but the next day those circumstances were not as severe. Crystal reflects on how one day they were uncertain about what lies ahead, yet the very next day they were filled with optimism and assurance that the future holds promise.
She confidently asserts that GOD is capable of accomplishing things that we as humans cannot, and indeed, GOD has already accomplished it! Crystal also included a picture of Ernest, who seems to be recovering in a chair at a medical facility. He is connected to various machines, but otherwise appears to be resting comfortably.
During the time when Ernest was going through his medical difficulties, Crystal reached out to fans who were worried about her husband's recovery and asked for their support and prayers. In her most recent update, she highlights the significant impact that prayer had on Ernest's improvement in health.
The writer expresses their gratitude and acknowledges that none of their achievements would have been possible without the faith, prayers, and support of others. They thank everyone for being a part of their support system, for caring enough to pray for them, and for being a part of God's army. They express eternal gratitude for these contributions.

Loretta Lynn had the unfortunate experience of losing two of her children who she had with her late husband, Oliver "Doolittle" Lynn. The first is their oldest daughter Betty Sue, who passed away in 2013 due to complications from emphysema. The second is their eldest son Jack Benny, who tragically drowned in 1984 while trying to cross a river on their property in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee.
Lynn passed away at the age of 90 on October 4, 2022, at her residence in Hurricane Mills. Throughout her life, she achieved remarkable success as a country music artist and holds the record for being the most honored female performer in the history of country music.
