There was initial concern about the outcome of the surgery that Loretta Lynn's son Ernest had to treat his kidney failure. However, his wife Crystal has provided an update on Monday (Jan. 29) stating that Ernest has started experiencing significant improvements in his health.
Crystal expressed on Facebook that she cannot provide any logical explanation for the situation she is experiencing, except for attributing it to a higher power, possibly God. She observed that one day they were unable to achieve a successful dialysis treatment for a total of three weeks, but the following day they were successful. Similarly, they faced more severe circumstances on one day, but the next day those circumstances seemed to have improved. Crystal also noted that one day they were uncertain about what the future may hold, but the next day they felt optimistic and confident that the future would be positive.
She continues to express that GOD has the ability to accomplish things that we are unable to do, and HE has indeed achieved it! Crystal also posted a picture of Ernest recovering in what seems to be a chair at a healthcare facility, connected to medical equipment but otherwise appearing to be at ease.
During Ernest's health crisis, Crystal has reached out to fans for their support and prayers in regards to her husband's recovery. In her most recent update, she highlights the significance of prayer in Ernest's progress towards better health.
The author expresses their gratitude for the help they received, emphasizing that it would not have been achievable without the faith, prayers, and support of the readers. They thank everyone for being a part of their support system and for taking the time to pray for them. The author also acknowledges that they are grateful for everyone who has been part of God's army.
Additionally, she mentions that Ernest has the opportunity to return to his own residence in order to recover after his time in the hospital.
Loretta Lynn survived the passing of two of the children she had with her late husband, Oliver "Doolittle" Lynn. The first was their oldest daughter named Betty Sue, who passed away in 2013 due to complications from emphysema. The second was their oldest son named Jack Benny, who tragically drowned in 1984 while trying to cross a river on their property in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee.
Lynn passed away on October 4, 2022, at her residence in Hurricane Mills at the age of 90. Throughout her life, she achieved great success as a country music artist, earning numerous awards and establishing herself as the most decorated female country performer in history.
