After undergoing surgery to treat his kidney failure, there were initial concerns regarding the success of Loretta Lynn's son Ernest's operation. However, his wife Crystal provided an update on Monday (Jan. 29) stating that Ernest has begun to experience significant improvements in his health.
Crystal expresses her inability to provide a logical explanation for the events, attributing them to a higher power, God. She shares that one day they were unable to achieve a successful dialysis process for three consecutive weeks, but the following day they were able to. Additionally, one day they were confronted with more severe circumstances, but the next day those circumstances seemed less severe. Crystal also mentions that one day they were unsure about what the future held, however, the following day they felt optimistic and hopeful about a bright future.
Crystal expresses that GOD is capable of doing things that we are unable to accomplish, and she believes that HE has indeed accomplished it. Furthermore, Crystal shares a picture of Ernest recovering in what seems to be a medical facility, sitting in a chair with machines connected to him, but otherwise appearing to be at ease.
During Ernest's medical journey, Crystal has been asking for the support and prayers of concerned fans for her husband's recovery. In her most recent update, she highlights the significant impact that prayer has had on Ernest's improved health.

Loretta Lynn has survived the passing of two of her children, whom she had with her late husband Oliver "Doolittle" Lynn. Her oldest daughter Betty Sue passed away in 2013 due to complications from emphysema, while her eldest son Jack Benny tragically drowned in 1984 while trying to cross a river on their property in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee.
On October 4, 2022, Lynn passed away at her residence in Hurricane Mills at the age of 90. Throughout her life, she achieved great success as a prominent figure in the country music industry, earning numerous accolades and establishing herself as the most decorated female country performer in history.
