Loretta Lynn's son, Ernest, recently underwent a surgery to treat his kidney failure. Initially, there were concerns about the outcome of the surgery. However, on January 29th, Ernest's wife Crystal shared some positive news about his recovery, stating that he has started to show significant improvements in his health.
Crystal expresses on Facebook that she can't find any logical reason for the sudden positive turn of events in her life, except to attribute it to a higher power, which she refers to as God. She mentions how there was a period of three weeks where dialysis was not successful, but the following day, it suddenly became successful. Similarly, she mentions how they were previously dealing with more severe circumstances, but the next day, these circumstances seemed to have lessened. Crystal also highlights how there was uncertainty about the future, but suddenly, there is a newfound sense of confidence and optimism that the future will be bright.
According to Crystal, there are things that GOD can accomplish which are beyond our capabilities, and he has indeed achieved them. Crystal also posted a picture of Ernest recovering in what seems to be a medical facility, sitting on a chair and connected to various machines, but otherwise in a peaceful state.
During Ernest's medical struggle, Crystal has reached out to fans and asked for their support and prayers for her husband's recovery. In her most recent update, she emphasizes the significant impact that prayer has had on Ernest's journey towards better health.
She expresses gratitude for the role that faith, God, prayers, and support have played in making all of this possible. She extends her appreciation to everyone who has been a part of their support system and has taken the time to pray for them. She acknowledges that they are thankful for being a part of God's army and their gratitude is everlasting.
In addition, she mentions that Ernest has the opportunity to return home and recover following his time in the hospital.
Loretta Lynn has experienced the tragic loss of two of her children, whom she had with her late husband Oliver "Doolittle" Lynn. The first was their oldest daughter Betty Sue, who passed away in 2013 due to complications related to emphysema. The second was their eldest son Jack Benny, who tragically drowned in 1984 while trying to cross a river on the Lynn family's property in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee.
Lynn passed away on October 4, 2022, at her residence in Hurricane Mills at the age of 90. Throughout her life, she achieved remarkable success as one of the most accomplished artists in country music. Additionally, she held the record for being the female country performer with the highest number of accolades.
