Loretta Lynn's son, Ernest, recently received positive news about his recovery after undergoing a surgery to treat his kidney failure. Initially, there were concerns about the success of the procedure. However, Ernest's wife Crystal shared an update on Monday (Jan. 29), stating that he has started experiencing significant improvements in his health.
Crystal wrote on Facebook that she cannot find any logical explanation for the sudden positive turn of events, except for the intervention of a higher power. She mentions how one day they were unable to achieve successful dialysis for three weeks, but the very next day they were able to. Similarly, one day they were confronted with more severe circumstances, but the next day those circumstances seemed less daunting. Crystal also highlights the uncertainty they experienced about the future, only to have that uncertainty replaced with confidence in a bright future.
She continues by stating that GOD can accomplish things that we are unable to and HE has indeed done so! Crystal also posted a picture of Ernest recovering in what seems to be a medical facility, sitting in a chair and connected to medical equipment, but otherwise appearing to be at ease.
During the time when Ernest was facing his medical challenges, Crystal reached out to the concerned fans and asked for their support and prayers for her husband's recovery. In her most recent update, she emphasizes the significant impact that prayer had on Ernest's progress in terms of his health.
The writer expresses their gratitude for the faith, prayers, and support of others, acknowledging that none of their accomplishments would have been possible without them. They extend their thanks to everyone who has been a part of their support system and took the time to pray for them. They also express gratitude for being part of God's army and state that they are eternally thankful for everyone's contributions.
In addition, she mentions that Ernest has the opportunity to return to his home in order to recover after his time at the hospital.
Loretta Lynn has lived longer than two of her children, who she had with her late husband Oliver "Doolittle" Lynn. These children are her oldest daughter Betty Sue, who passed away in 2013 due to emphysema complications, and her oldest son Jack Benny, who tragically drowned while trying to cross a river on the family's property in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee in 1984.
On October 4, 2022, Lynn passed away at her residence in Hurricane Mills at the age of 90. Throughout her life, she achieved great success in the field of country music and held the record for being the female country artist with the highest number of awards.
