There are several country music stars who have been noticeably inactive prior to the pandemic, but there are at least three of them who we can confidently expect to release an album this year. One of those stars is George Strait, who has been on a five-year hiatus since his last album, Honky Tonk Time Machine.

Some musicians appear to lack motivation to create new music. A renowned artist who continues to perform live has openly admitted that she no longer has any further ideas to express through her music.
