Lainey Wilson Joins Coors Light for a Chilly Super Bowl Cameo

  • by

Lainey Wilson, a prominent figure in the country music industry, had a jam-packed schedule in 2023, and it seems like she won't be taking a break as she enters the new year. The talented singer has already secured numerous commitments for 2024, and one exciting opportunity is her appearance in a commercial during the Super Bowl.

According to Billboard, Wilson is set to appear briefly in a Coors Light advertisement that will promote the comeback of the beer brand's Coors Light Chill Train. This time, the ad will feature a computer-generated virtual seat booking feature for fans to experience and enjoy.

In the wintry-themed advertisement, Wilson will be depicted during a photoshoot when suddenly the "Chill Train" rushes past her. The scene will be cold and snowy, featuring Wilson wearing an icy blue fringe jacket and holding a can of Coors Light. However, contrary to the wintry setting, the country superstar filmed her part for the ad in sunny Los Angeles.

The country star recalls that they had a photo shoot where they posed with their reliable old guitar and a horse provided by Coors Light. They had some amazing makeup effects with a frosted appearance and even had fake snow added to their hair and eyelashes. It was a new experience for them and allowed them to express their creativity in various ways, which they always find enjoyable.

Wilson, who is dating former NFL quarterback Devlin "Duck" Hodges, has the opportunity to witness the Super Bowl live. She will be present at the event in Las Vegas where she can watch the highly anticipated matchup between the San Francisco 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs.

Wilson openly acknowledges that while she is enthusiastically looking forward to watching the game, she is equally thrilled about the halftime show.

"I am thrilled to be able to see Usher perform and I am also excited for the game. This will be my second time attending the Super Bowl, and whenever you receive an invitation to go, you should definitely take advantage of it," expresses the singer. "It's a unique experience that only happens once in a lifetime, and I am fortunate to be attending alongside my friends and other artists. It's going to be an incredible celebration."

While she didn't explicitly declare her support for any specific team, Wilson appears to be rooting for the Chiefs, the current Super Bowl champions, to secure another victory.

Wilson mentioned that he had the opportunity to meet Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes, who are both players for the Chiefs. He shared that they attended one of his shows last summer and he found them to be genuinely wonderful individuals. If he had to choose a team to support, he might lean towards rooting for them.

Naturally, everyone's attention is focused on Kelce as he enters the Super Bowl. This is not only due to his reputation as one of the NFL's most influential athletes but also because of his relationship with the famous singer Taylor Swift.

Swift has been going to Chiefs games this season whenever she doesn't have a concert. Fans are eager to see her at the Super Bowl, which is scheduled for Feb. 11. However, Swift's Eras Tour will continue earlier that week with a show in Tokyo, Japan on Feb. 10. Despite this, there is a chance that she might be able to return to Las Vegas in time for the Super Bowl because of the time difference.

After a significant victory in the AFC Championship, Taylor Swift shares a kiss with Travis Kelce. Get more updates and news from Taste of Country by following us.
