Lainey Wilson Makes a Splash in Coors Light Super Bowl Commercial and Reveals Excitement for Halftime Show

  • by

Lainey Wilson, a prominent figure in the country music scene in 2023, continues to maintain a busy schedule as she enters the new year. Despite the change in calendar, she shows no signs of slowing down as she has already secured several commitments for 2024. One of these exciting opportunities includes appearing in a commercial during the highly anticipated Super Bowl.

Based on the information provided by Billboard, Wilson is set to appear in a Coors Light advertisement that aims to promote the comeback of the Coors Light Chill Train. This time, the commercial will feature a virtual seat booking feature created through computer-generated imagery (CGI), allowing fans to have an enhanced experience.

In the wintry-themed advertisement, Wilson will be captured in the midst of a photo shoot when the "Chill Train" rushes past her. The scene will depict a cold atmosphere, featuring strong gusts of snow, a frosty blue jacket, and, naturally, a can of Coors Light to emphasize the chilliness. However, despite the wintry setting, the country superstar actually filmed her scene for the advertisement in the sunny city of Los Angeles.

"I recently had a photo shoot where I posed with my reliable old guitar and a horse that was provided to me by Coors Light. The shoot involved some interesting makeup effects that made me appear frosty, and we also incorporated fake snow into my hair and eyelashes," shares the country singer. "It was a unique experience for me as I got to explore new creative avenues, which is always enjoyable."

Wilson, who is in a relationship with Devlin "Duck" Hodges, a former NFL quarterback, will have the opportunity to witness the Super Bowl firsthand this year. She will be present in Las Vegas to witness the intense showdown between the San Francisco 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs.

Wilson acknowledges that while she is enthusiastic about watching the game, she is equally thrilled for the halftime show.

"I am thrilled to be able to witness Usher's performance and I am also looking forward to the game. This is only my second time attending the Super Bowl, so whenever you receive an invitation to go, you simply cannot refuse," expresses the singer. "It is a rare and unforgettable opportunity, and I am fortunate to be going alongside some of my friends and fellow artists. It will undoubtedly be a fantastic celebration."

Although she didn't explicitly express her full endorsement for a specific team, Wilson appears to be wishing for the Kansas City Chiefs, the current Super Bowl champions, to secure another victory.

Wilson states that he had the opportunity to meet Travis Kelce, the tight end for the Chiefs, and Patrick Mahomes, the quarterback for the Chiefs. They attended one of his shows during the previous summer and Wilson describes them as genuinely wonderful individuals. Therefore, if he had to support and cheer for someone, it would likely be Kelce and Mahomes.

Naturally, everyone is paying close attention to Kelce as the Super Bowl approaches. This is not only due to his reputation as one of the NFL's most dominant athletes, but also because of his relationship with the famous pop star, Taylor Swift.

Swift has been present at Chiefs games throughout the year whenever she can fit them into her busy touring schedule. Fans are eagerly anticipating the possibility of seeing her at the Super Bowl, which is scheduled for Feb. 11. Just a few days before the Super Bowl, on Feb. 10, Swift has a concert in Tokyo, Japan as part of her Eras Tour. However, considering the time difference, it is entirely plausible that she will be able to make it back to Las Vegas in time to watch the highly anticipated game.

Taylor Swift seals the victory of the AFC Championship by sharing a kiss with Travis Kelce. Stay updated with news and updates from Taste of Country. Follow us for more information.
