Lainey Wilson, a highly active country music artist in 2023, shows no signs of slowing down as she enters the new year. She has already secured numerous commitments for 2024, with one of them being a feature in a Super Bowl commercial.
As reported by Billboard, Wilson is set to appear in a Coors Light advertisement that will promote the comeback of the Coors Light Chill Train. This time, the commercial will include a virtual seat booking feature through CGI, allowing fans to have an enhanced experience.
Wilson will be featured in a wintry-themed advertisement where she will be in the midst of a photoshoot when the "Chill Train" passes by her. This particular scene will have a cold atmosphere, with gusting snow, a frosty blue jacket, and, naturally, a chilled Coors Light can. However, despite the wintery setting, the country music icon actually filmed her part for the advertisement in the sunny city of Los Angeles.
"I recently had a photo shoot where I posed with my reliable old guitar and a horse that Coors Light provided for me. We had some amazing makeup effects that made us look frosted, and we also had the opportunity to add fake snow to my hair and eyelashes," the country singer shares. "It was a new experience for me and allowed me to express my creativity in unique ways, which I always enjoy."
Wilson, who is in a relationship with former NFL quarterback Devlin "Duck" Hodges, has the opportunity to attend the Super Bowl in person this year. She will be present in Las Vegas to witness the exciting showdown between the San Francisco 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs.
Wilson acknowledges that while she is enthusiastic about watching the game, she is equally thrilled about the halftime show.
"I am eagerly looking forward to seeing Usher perform, as well as being excited for the game itself. This is only the second time I have ever attended the Super Bowl, so whenever you receive an invitation to go, you simply cannot refuse," expresses the singer. "It is a unique and unforgettable experience, and I am fortunate to be going with some of my friends and fellow artists. It is going to be a lively celebration."
While she didn't fully commit to endorsing any particular team, Wilson appears to be rooting for the Chiefs, the current Super Bowl champions, to win again.
According to Wilson, he had the opportunity to meet Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes, who are the tight end and quarterback of the Chiefs respectively. Last summer, they attended one of Wilson's shows and he describes them as fantastic individuals. Therefore, if he had to support someone, he would probably choose them.
Naturally, everyone's attention is focused on Kelce as he approaches the Super Bowl. This is not only due to his reputation as one of the NFL's top athletes, but also because of his relationship with Taylor Swift, who is a popular pop singer.
Swift has been present at Chiefs games throughout this year whenever her touring schedule permits. Fans are eager to catch a glimpse of her at the Super Bowl, scheduled for Feb. 11. Prior to the Super Bowl, Swift's Eras Tour recommences earlier that week with a performance in Tokyo, Japan on Feb. 10. Nevertheless, there is a possibility that she might return to Las Vegas in time to witness the significant game owing to the time difference.
