Chris Young revealed the injuries he sustained during a confrontation with officers from the Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) prior to his recent arrest. The injuries were just as painful as they appeared.
The singer shared with his fans on Tuesday (Jan. 30) the bruises he had gotten when a police officer forcefully pushed him, resulting in him tripping and falling into the corner of a bar. These injuries consist of two noticeable bruises: one on the inner part of his arm and another on his lower back.
In his post, Young expresses his discomfort with the proximity of something to his spine. He includes a photo and sets his post to a clip of "Don't Stand So Close to Me," a popular song by the British rock band the Police released in 1980.
Many fans expressed sympathy towards Young's experience in the comments section of his post, while there were also those who defended the actions of the officers.
A commenter expresses their concern about the situation, questioning the acceptability of the actions taken by the party in question and pointing out that by pursuing legal action, others can be protected from experiencing the same situation.
One person expresses their opinion, saying that they do not think anyone should interfere with someone else's job. They also mention that they cannot empathize or feel sorry for the person being referred to. However, they go on to mention that they still enjoy the person's music.
Earlier this month, the actor from "Young Love & Saturday Nights" was taken into custody for engaging in disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and assaulting a law enforcement officer at a bar called the Dawg House in Nashville.
However, the video recordings of the event, captured by both security cameras and other customers in the bar, present a contrasting narrative. According to the footage, Young appeared respectful and compliant with the officers while being apprehended. It seemed that he barely touched one of the officers before the latter forcefully pushed him backwards, causing him to fall over the bar.
The charges against the singer were dismissed, and afterwards, Young confidently showed off to those who criticized his decision to touch the officer initially.
Since all charges against Young have been dropped, he can now put the incident behind him in the eyes of the law. It is anticipated that he will resume his promotional activities for his upcoming album, Young Love & Saturday Nights, scheduled to be released on March 22.
