In Los Angeles, California, a woman bravely held onto the hood of a moving car in order to rescue her cherished French bulldog from a thief.
On January 18, an incident took place in front of a Whole Foods supermarket where a lady approached Ali Zacharias, the owner of a dog, and forcefully took away her pet.
The woman picked up the dog, whose name was Onyx, and took him over to a white car where another person was driving.
Fearlessly, Zacharias was determined to prevent the thieves from escaping with Onyx. He leaped onto the vehicle's front hood and held on tightly as it raced down a bustling street in Los Angeles.

In the interview with CBS News, Zacharias recounted his experience of refusing to let go of the car and gripping onto the windshield wipers. Without realizing it, the car started moving down the street and gaining speed, causing Zacharias to panic for his safety.
There is a widely shared video that captures the incident, which depicts Zacharias clinging to the car's hood.
In the situation, when the person pulled on the leash, I initially thought they just wanted the dog to go and smell something, so I released my grip. However, to my surprise, I then noticed a woman holding the dog and walking away with him. In an attempt to prevent them from leaving, I positioned myself in front of their car and firmly stated that they could not leave as they had my dog. Instead of stopping, they continued to drive towards me, eventually causing me to fall onto the hood of their car. Even in this position, I persisted and made it clear that I would not leave until they returned my dog. Despite my efforts, they chose to drive away. This series of events was explained by Zacharias in a TikTok video posted on NBC News, which showed her desperately holding onto the car.
Regrettably, Zacharias' brave attempts to save his cute dog were unsuccessful. He managed to hold on for a short distance, but the car suddenly changed direction and caused him to fall off, resulting in minor injuries like cuts and bruises. Sadly, Onyx, the dog, is still nowhere to be found.
"No matter what I'm doing, I feel upset that I can't do it with Onyx or that he's not experiencing it. It's like when I'm grocery shopping, I realize I'm not buying anything for him. It's unbelievable how fast time has passed. It feels like this just occurred, and yet it's already been 10 days," she expressed.
The crime is currently being investigated by the Los Angeles Police Department, and they are actively looking into it, which includes the examination of security footage.
