In Los Angeles, California, a woman bravely held onto the hood of a moving car in order to rescue her cherished French bulldog from a thief.
On January 18, an incident took place outside a Whole Foods supermarket where a woman approached Ali Zacharias, the owner of a dog, and forcibly took the pet from her.
The woman transported Onyx, her dog, to a white car that was being operated by another individual.
Fearlessly, Zacharias was determined to apprehend the thieves who had stolen Onyx. Without hesitation, she leapt onto the car's hood and held on tightly as it raced through the crowded streets of Los Angeles.

Zacharias recounted his experience, stating that he was determined to not release his grip on the car. Clinging onto the windshield wipers, he found himself unexpectedly being driven down the street at an increasing pace, causing him to panic for his safety.
A video capturing the event has also become extremely popular, displaying Zacharias desperately clinging to the car's hood.
In her TikTok video, Zacharias recounted the incident where she let go of the leash, thinking her dog just wanted to smell something. However, she was surprised to see a woman holding her dog and walking away with him. Determined to retrieve her pet, she stood in front of the car and insisted that they couldn't leave with her dog. Despite her protest, the individuals in the car continued to drive towards her, eventually causing her to fall onto the hood of their car. Undeterred, she remained steadfast, declaring that she wouldn't leave without her dog. Eventually, the car drove off, leaving her without her beloved pet.
Regrettably, Zacharias' brave attempt to save her beloved puppy was unsuccessful. She managed to hold on for a short distance before the car abruptly changed direction, causing her to be thrown off and sustain only a few small injuries. However, Onyx, her puppy, is still nowhere to be found.
"No matter what I am currently engaged in, I feel a sense of sadness because Onyx is not with me or experiencing it. For instance, when I go grocery shopping, I can't help but think that I am not buying anything for Onyx. It feels like time has passed so swiftly, as if this just occurred, and yet it has already been 10 days," she expressed.
The crime is currently being investigated by the Los Angeles Police Department, who are actively looking into the matter and examining security footage as part of their investigation.
