Chris Young displayed the injuries he sustained during his encounter with officers from the Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) prior to his recent arrest. The physical pain he experienced was evident in the pictures.
The singer revealed to his fans on Tuesday (Jan. 30) the bruises he got when a police officer forcefully pushed him, resulting in him losing his balance and falling into the edge of a bar. These injuries consist of two noticeable and dark bruises: one on the inner side of his arm, and the other on his lower back.
In the caption of the photo he shared, Young expresses that the object is uncomfortably close to his spine. To emphasize his point, he chooses to accompany his post with a clip from "Don't Stand So Close to Me," a popular song by the British rock band, the Police, released in 1980.
After Young shared his experience, several fans expressed empathy in the comments section, while some stood up for the officers' actions.
A commenter expresses their belief that by taking legal action against the responsible party, it can aid in preventing similar incidents from happening to others. They question the ethical justification for allowing such actions to occur.
One person expresses the opinion that it is not right to interfere with someone's job and they cannot sympathize with the situation. Despite that, they still enjoy the person's music.
The actor from the show "Young Love & Saturday Nights" was taken into custody for engaging in disorderly behavior, refusing to comply with arrest, and physically attacking a police officer at a bar called the Dawg House in Nashville, which occurred a few weeks ago.
However, the video recordings of the incident, captured by both security cameras and other customers in the bar, present a contrasting account. From the footage, it is evident that Young behaved respectfully and complied with the officers during his arrest. He only lightly made contact with one of the officers before being forcefully shoved backwards and over a bar.
The accusations against the singer were dismissed, and afterwards Young confidently showed off to those who criticized his decision to interact with the officer.
Now that all accusations against Young have been dropped, he can put the incident behind him, at least from a legal standpoint. He will probably resume his efforts to promote his upcoming album, Young Love & Saturday Nights, scheduled to be released on March 22.
