In Los Angeles, California, a brave woman went to extreme lengths to rescue her cherished French bulldog from a thief.
On January 18, a woman took a dog without permission from its owner, Ali Zacharias, outside a Whole Foods supermarket.
The woman transported the dog, whose name was Onyx, to a white car driven by another individual.
With great bravery, Zacharias was determined to prevent the thieves from escaping with Onyx. He fearlessly leaped onto the car's hood and held on tightly as it raced through a crowded street in Los Angeles.

Zacharias recounted the incident to CBS News, sharing that he firmly refused to release his grip on the windshield wipers of the car. As they continued down the street and accelerated, he found himself becoming increasingly terrified for his safety.
Zacharias hanging onto the car's hood was captured on a video that quickly gained widespread attention online.
Zacharias recounted her experience to NBC News through a TikTok video, describing how she initially assumed that when the person pulled the leash, they wanted her dog to go sniff something, so she let go. However, she was taken aback when she saw a woman holding her dog and walking away with him. Determined to retrieve her dog, Zacharias positioned herself in front of the car and firmly stated that the woman could not leave with her pet. Instead of complying, the individuals driving the car deliberately drove towards her, causing her to fall onto the hood. Despite this, Zacharias remained resolute and declared that she would not leave until the dog was returned to her. Eventually, the individuals in the car drove away, leaving her clinging to the memories of the incident.
Regrettably, Zacharias' brave attempts to save his cute puppy were unsuccessful. He managed to hold on for a short distance, but the car suddenly veered, causing him to be thrown off and sustain minor injuries. Unfortunately, Onyx, the puppy, is still nowhere to be found.
"No matter what I'm engaged in, I can't help but feel sad that I'm not doing it with Onyx or that he's not able to experience it. For example, when I go grocery shopping, I can't help but think that I'm not buying anything for him. It's astonishing how quickly time has passed. It feels like this just occurred, and yet it's already been 10 days," she expressed.
CBS reports that the Los Angeles Police Department is currently engaged in an active investigation of the crime, which involves the examination of security footage.
