The Future of CMA Fest: How the New Nissan Stadium Will Change the Ultimate Country Music Fan Experience

  • by

In the coming years, CMA Fest will undergo significant changes due to the upcoming construction of a new stadium for the Tennessee Titans.

After hosting the festival's main shows for many years, the current Nissan Stadium will no longer be the venue for these shows once the new venue is finished.

According to the Country Music Association, they have ongoing plans to collaborate with the Tennessee Titans annually during CMA Fest. They are excited about the prospect of hosting country music fans in Nashville for the evening concerts at the newly built stadium.

A brand new stadium, appropriately called the New Nissan Stadium, is going to be constructed on the eastern side of the current Nissan Stadium, located along the East Bank of the Cumberland River. The construction of the stadium is planned to start this year and it is expected to be ready for opening in 2027.

Fans of country music will still have the option to reach the New Nissan Stadium in downtown Nashville by utilizing the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.

The new location for the Titans will be a closed-off facility that focuses on providing an enhanced fan experience. It will offer breathtaking views of Nashville, a roof made of see-through material, and a large area of 12,000 square feet that can be utilized by the community throughout the year.

CMA Fest is a remarkable event for country music fans, known as the "Ultimate Country Music Fan Experience." It originated in 1972 as Fan Fair, initially attracting 5,000 fans at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium. Over the years, it has grown into one of the largest annual events in country music. Every year, Music City welcomes tens of thousands of attendees from all around the world who gather to enjoy more than 250 performances by various artists across nine different stages.
