In the coming years, there will be significant changes to the CMA Fest due to the upcoming construction of a new stadium for the Tennessee Titans.
After being hosted at the current Nissan Stadium for a number of years, the festival's main performances will be relocated to the new venue once its construction is finished.
According to the Country Music Association, they have intentions to collaborate with the Tennessee Titans on an annual basis during CMA Fest. They are excited about the prospect of hosting country music enthusiasts in Nashville for the evening concerts at the newly constructed stadium.
A brand new stadium, appropriately called the New Nissan Stadium, will be constructed on the Eastern side of the Cumberland River, adjacent to the existing Nissan Stadium. The construction is planned to commence this year, and it is expected to be ready for use by 2027.
Fans of country music can still reach the New Nissan Stadium in downtown Nashville by utilizing the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.
The future home of the Titans will be a completely enclosed facility designed to provide fans with an exceptional experience. It will offer breathtaking views of Nashville, feature a see-through roof, and include a generous 12,000 square feet of community space that can be utilized throughout the year.
CMA Fest is an incredible experience for country music fans. It was first known as Fan Fair when it started in 1972 with only 5,000 fans gathering at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium. Since then, it has grown into one of the largest events in country music, attracting tens of thousands of guests from all over the world to Music City. Attendees have the opportunity to enjoy performances from over 250 acts spread across nine stages.
