In Los Angeles, California, a woman took bold actions to rescue her cherished French bulldog from a thief.
On January 18, an incident took place outside a Whole Foods supermarket where a lady approached Ali Zacharias, the owner of a dog, and abruptly took the pet away from her.
The woman transported the dog, who goes by the name of Onyx, to a white vehicle that was being operated by another individual.
With great courage, Zacharias was determined to stop the thieves from escaping with Onyx. He bravely leaped onto the car's hood and held on tightly as it raced through a bustling street in Los Angeles.

Zacharias recounted his experience, stating that he firmly held onto the windshield wipers of the car because he was determined not to let go. Without warning, the car accelerated and they started driving down the street, causing him to panic and fear for his life. This information was shared with CBS News.
A footage capturing the event has also become extremely popular on the internet, portraying Zacharias gripping onto the front of the vehicle.
Zacharias recounted the incident to NBC News through a TikTok video, explaining that when her dog pulled the leash, she initially thought he wanted to go smell something, so she let go. However, to her surprise, she noticed a woman holding her dog and walking away with him. Determined to retrieve her dog, she positioned herself in front of the car and firmly stated that they couldn't leave as they had her dog. Instead of complying, the individuals driving the car proceeded to drive into her, causing her to fall onto the hood. Despite this, she refused to give up and remained on the hood, demanding the return of her dog. Eventually, the individuals drove away with her dog.
Regrettably, Zacharias' brave attempt to save her cute puppy was unsuccessful. She managed to hold on for a short distance until the car abruptly changed direction, causing her to be thrown off. As a result, she sustained some minor injuries such as cuts and bruises. Unfortunately, Onyx, her puppy, is still nowhere to be found.
"No matter what I am currently occupied with, it brings me sadness that I am unable to share it with Onyx or that he is not experiencing it. For example, when I go grocery shopping, I can't help but feel remorseful that I am not purchasing anything for him. The passage of time has been surprisingly swift, and it feels as if this situation occurred just recently. However, it has already been 10 days," she expressed.
CBS reports that the Los Angeles Police Department is currently engaged in an investigation of the crime, which involves the examination of security footage.
