In Los Angeles, California, a woman displayed immense bravery as she desperately clung onto the hood of a moving car in order to rescue her adored French bulldog, which had been taken by a thief.
On January 18th, an incident took place outside a Whole Foods supermarket where a woman came up to Ali Zacharias, who was walking her dog, and forcefully took the pet away from her.
The woman brought the dog, named Onyx, to a white car that was being driven by another person.
With great courage, Zacharias was determined not to allow the thieves to escape after taking Onyx. He bravely leaped onto the car's hood and held on tightly while it raced through a bustling street in Los Angeles.

Zacharias recounted his experience, stating that he was determined not to release his grip on the car, so he held onto the windshield wipers. Without realizing it, they started driving down the street, gradually increasing their speed, causing Zacharias to become terrified for his life.
A video capturing the incident has also become widely popular, depicting Zacharias clinging onto the car's hood.
Zacharias narrated the incident to NBC News through a TikTok video, explaining that when her dog pulled on the leash, she assumed he wanted to go smell something and released her grip. However, she was taken aback when she saw a woman holding her dog and walking away with him. In an attempt to prevent the woman from leaving, Zacharias positioned herself in front of the car and informed her that she could not leave as she had her dog. The individuals in the car ignored her plea and deliberately drove into her, causing her to fall onto the hood of the car. Despite the fall, Zacharias remained steadfast, refusing to leave until her dog was returned to her. Eventually, the individuals drove away with her dog.
Regrettably, Zacharias' brave attempts to save his cute puppy were unsuccessful. He managed to hold on for a short distance before the car suddenly veered, causing him to be thrown off and resulting in some minor injuries. Unfortunately, Onyx, the puppy, is still nowhere to be found.
"I feel a sense of sadness whenever I engage in any activity because I wish I could do it with Onyx or that he could be a part of it. For example, when I go grocery shopping, I can't help but think that I'm not buying anything for him. It's astonishing how quickly time has passed, it feels like this situation just occurred, and yet it's already been 10 days," she expressed.
As per CBS, the Los Angeles Police Department is currently engaged in investigating the criminal incident and is also examining security footage as part of their investigation.
