In Los Angeles, California, a woman displayed immense bravery as she held onto the hood of a moving car after a thief snatched her cherished French bulldog.
On January 18, an incident occurred outside a Whole Foods supermarket where a woman approached Ali Zacharias, the owner of a dog, and forcefully took her pet away.
The woman picked up Onyx, the dog, and took him to a white car that was being driven by another person.
Fearlessly, Zacharias was determined to stop the thieves from escaping with Onyx. He courageously leaped onto the car's hood and held on tightly as it accelerated through a crowded street in Los Angeles.

Zacharias recounted his experience, stating that he was determined not to release his grip on the car. He clung onto the windshield wipers as the car continued to drive down the street, gradually gaining momentum. This sudden turn of events filled him with intense fear for his life.
Zacharias holding onto the car's hood has gained widespread attention after a video of the incident went viral.
Zacharias recounted the incident to NBC News in a TikTok video, explaining that when her dog pulled the leash, she initially thought he wanted to go smell something. Assuming he would return shortly, she let go of the leash. However, to her surprise, she looked up and saw a woman holding her dog and walking away with him. In an attempt to stop them, she positioned herself in front of their car and firmly stated that they could not leave as they had her dog. Instead of stopping, the individuals in the car drove towards her, causing her to fall onto the hood. Even after falling, she remained determined and declared that she would not leave until they returned her dog. Despite her pleas, they continued to drive away.
Regrettably, Zacharias' brave attempt to save her cute puppy was unsuccessful. She managed to hold on for a short distance before the car abruptly changed direction and caused her to fall off. As a result, she sustained minor injuries such as cuts and bruises. Unfortunately, Onyx, her puppy, is still not found.
No matter what I am doing, I feel a sense of sadness because I am not doing it with Onyx, and it feels like he is missing out. Even when I am grocery shopping, I cannot help but think that I am not buying anything for him. It's surprising how quickly time has passed. It feels like this situation just occurred, but it has already been 10 days," she expressed.
The crime is currently being investigated by the Los Angeles Police Department, who are actively looking into it and analyzing security footage as part of their investigation.
