The Future of CMA Fest: How the New Nissan Stadium Will Transform the Ultimate Country Music Fan Experience

  • by

In the near future, CMA Fest will undergo significant changes due to the upcoming construction of a new stadium for the Tennessee Titans.

After being hosted at the current Nissan Stadium for a number of years, the festival's main shows will be relocated to the new venue once it is finished.

The Country Music Association has stated that they have ongoing plans to collaborate with the Tennessee Titans every year during CMA Fest. They are excited about hosting country music fans in Nashville for the nightly concerts that will take place in the newly built stadium.

A brand new stadium, appropriately called the New Nissan Stadium, is going to be constructed on the East Bank of the Cumberland River, situated just east of the existing Nissan Stadium. The construction is planned to commence this year and the stadium is expected to open its doors in 2027.

Fans of country music can still reach the New Nissan Stadium from downtown Nashville by crossing over the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.

The new stadium, unlike the Titans' current home, will be a completely enclosed facility designed to enhance the fan experience. It will offer stunning panoramic views of Nashville, have a translucent roof, and include a spacious community area of 12,000 square feet that can be utilized throughout the year.

CMA Fest, originally known as Fan Fair, is an extraordinary event for country music fans. It was established in 1972 and initially attracted 5,000 attendees at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium. Over the years, it has grown into one of the largest annual gatherings in country music. Thousands of people from around the world come together in Music City to witness over 250 performances by various artists on nine distinct stages.
