In the near future, CMA Fest will undergo significant changes due to the upcoming construction of a new stadium for the Tennessee Titans.
After being hosted at Nissan Stadium for many years, the festival's main shows will be relocated to the newly constructed venue.
The Country Music Association has expressed their intention to collaborate with the Tennessee Titans on an annual basis during the CMA Fest. They are excited about the opportunity to host country music fans in Nashville for the evening concerts that will be held in the newly constructed stadium.
The upcoming stadium, appropriately called the New Nissan Stadium, will be constructed on the East Bank of the Cumberland River, located to the east of the existing Nissan Stadium. The construction of this stadium is planned to commence this year, and it is expected to be ready for opening in 2027.
Fans of country music will still have the option to reach the New Nissan Stadium in downtown Nashville by using the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.
The new stadium for the Titans will be a completely enclosed facility designed to provide fans with an exceptional experience. It will offer breathtaking views of Nashville, feature a roof made of translucent material, and include a generous 12,000 square feet of community space that can be utilized throughout the year.
CMA Fest, previously known as Fan Fair, is an incredible event for country music enthusiasts. It originated in 1972 with only 5,000 fans gathering at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium. Over the years, it has grown into one of the largest annual events in the country music industry. People from all around the world travel to Music City to witness over 250 performances by various artists on nine different stages.
