Chris Young displayed the injuries he sustained during his encounter with law enforcement officers from the Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) prior to his recent arrest. These injuries were just as painful as they appeared.
The singer shared with his fans on Tuesday (Jan. 30) the bruises he had gotten from being pushed by a police officer and subsequently stumbling and falling over a bar corner. These injuries consist of two significant bruises, one on the inside of his arm and the other on his lower back.
In the post where he shares the photo, Young expresses that the object in the photo is uncomfortably close to his spine. He accompanies his post with a clip of "Don't Stand So Close to Me," a popular song by the British rock band the Police, to emphasize his point.
In the section where comments were posted on his post, a number of fans showed understanding and compassion towards Young's situation, whereas some individuals stood up in support of the officers and their actions.
A commenter questions the justification of allowing them to continue such actions, suggesting that by filing a lawsuit, one can contribute to preventing similar incidents from occurring to others.
One person expresses their opinion, stating that they don't believe in interfering with someone's job and cannot sympathize with the individual. However, they still enjoy the person's music.
Earlier this month, the celebrity known for their role in "Young Love & Saturday Nights" was taken into custody after causing a disturbance, refusing to cooperate with authorities, and physically attacking a law enforcement officer at a bar in Nashville called the Dawg House.
However, the video recordings of the incident, captured by security cameras and other customers at the bar, tell a contrasting narrative. They depict Young as respectful and compliant with the officers during his apprehension. It shows that Young only lightly touched one of the officers before being forcefully pushed backwards and over a bar.
The charges against the singer were dismissed, and Young later confidently responded to those who criticized him for his initial physical contact with the officer.
After having all charges dropped against him, Young can now put the incident behind him, at least from a legal standpoint. He will probably resume his efforts in promoting his upcoming album, Young Love & Saturday Nights, set to be released on March 22nd.
