In Los Angeles, California, a woman displayed remarkable bravery by holding onto the hood of a moving car in order to rescue her cherished French bulldog from a thief.
On January 18, there was an incident that took place outside of a Whole Foods store. During this incident, a woman came up to Ali Zacharias, who was the owner of a dog, and abruptly
The woman carried the dog, who goes by the name of Onyx, to a white car that was being driven by another person.
Zacharias bravely refused to allow the thieves to escape with Onyx. With determination, she leaped onto the car's hood and held on tightly as it raced through a bustling street in Los Angeles.

Zacharias recounted the incident to CBS News, explaining that he was determined to not lose control of the car. To do so, he grabbed onto the windshield wipers and found himself being taken on a fast and terrifying ride down the street.
There is a viral video circulating that captures the incident, where Zacharias can be seen gripping onto the car's hood.
Zacharias, in a TikTok video, recounted a distressing incident where she believed her dog simply wanted to sniff something when he pulled the leash. However, she soon noticed a woman holding her dog and walking away. Determined to retrieve her pet, Zacharias positioned herself in front of the car and insisted that they could not leave with her dog. Instead of complying, the individuals behind the wheel drove into her, causing her to fall onto the hood of the car. Undeterred, Zacharias remained steadfast, declaring that she would not leave until her dog was returned. Despite her persistence, the perpetrators chose to drive away.
Regrettably, Zacharias' brave attempt to save her cute dog did not succeed. She managed to hold on for a short distance before the car suddenly changed direction, causing her to fall off and sustain minor injuries. Sadly, Onyx is still nowhere to be found.
"I feel a sense of sadness knowing that I am engaged in activities without Onyx, or that he is not able to experience them. For example, when I am grocery shopping, I can't help but think that I am not purchasing anything for him. It's surprising how quickly time has passed. It feels like this situation occurred recently, but it has already been 10 days," she expressed.
As per CBS, the Los Angeles Police Department is currently conducting an investigation into the crime, which involves the examination of security footage.
