The Future of CMA Fest: How the New Nissan Stadium Will Change the Ultimate Country Music Fan Experience

  • by

In the upcoming years, there will be significant changes to CMA Fest due to the impending construction of a new stadium for the Tennessee Titans.

After hosting the festival's main shows for many years, Nissan Stadium will no longer be the venue for these shows once the new venue is finished.

The Country Music Association has expressed their intention to collaborate with the Tennessee Titans annually during the CMA Fest. They eagerly anticipate hosting country music enthusiasts in Nashville for the evening performances at the recently constructed stadium.

The upcoming stadium, appropriately called the New Nissan Stadium, is planned to be constructed on the eastern side of the existing Nissan Stadium, located along the East Bank of the Cumberland River. The construction is expected to commence in the present year, and the stadium is anticipated to open its doors in 2027.

Fans of country music can still reach the New Nissan Stadium in downtown Nashville by using the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.

In contrast to the Titans' present stadium, the new location will be an enclosed facility specifically designed to provide an enhanced fan experience. It will offer breathtaking views of Nashville, have a roof made of translucent material, and include 12,000 square feet of community space that can be utilized throughout the year.

CMA Fest is an event that offers the ultimate experience for country music fans. It originally started in 1972 under the name Fan Fair, with a modest gathering of 5,000 fans at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium. However, over the years, it has grown into one of the largest annual events in the country music industry. Now, tens of thousands of guests from around the world come together in Music City to witness over 250 performances by various artists across nine different stages.
