Woman’s Heroic Pursuit: Clinging to Moving Car to Save Stolen Beloved Dog

  • by

In Los Angeles, California, a woman displayed immense bravery by desperately holding onto the hood of a moving car in order to rescue her treasured French bulldog from a thief.

On January 18, an incident took place outside a Whole Foods grocery store where a woman approached Ali Zacharias, the owner of a dog, and suddenly grabbed her pet.

The woman picked up the dog, whose name is Onyx, and took it to a white car that was being driven by another person.

Bravely, Zacharias was determined not to allow the thieves to escape after stealing Onyx. He leaped onto the car's hood and held on tightly as it raced down a crowded street in Los Angeles.

Zacharias recounted his experience, stating that he was determined to not release his grip on the car and held onto the windshield wipers. Without realizing it, they started driving down the street and accelerating, causing Zacharias to become terrified for his life.

Zacharias clinging onto the car's hood has been captured in a viral video.

Zacharias shared her experience on a TikTok video, recounting how she initially thought her dog just wanted to explore something when he pulled on the leash. Not realizing the intentions of the woman holding her dog, she let go. However, when she saw this woman walking away with her dog, she took a stand in front of the car, insisting that they couldn't leave because they had her dog. The situation escalated as they drove into her, causing her to fall onto the hood of their car. Despite this, she remained determined and declared that she wouldn't leave until they returned her dog. Eventually, they drove away with her dog.

Regrettably, Zacharias' brave attempts to save her beloved puppy were unsuccessful. She managed to hold on for a short distance until the vehicle abruptly changed direction, causing her to be thrown off and sustain minor injuries such as cuts and bruises. However, Onyx, her puppy, is still nowhere to be found.

"No matter what I'm doing, I feel a sense of sadness because I'm not doing it with Onyx, or because he's not experiencing it. For example, when I go grocery shopping, I can't help but think that I'm not buying anything for him. The passage of time feels incredibly fast, as if this situation just occurred. However, it has already been 10 days," she expressed.

The Los Angeles Police Department is currently involved in an investigation of a crime, which includes the examination of security footage, as reported by CBS.
