In Los Angeles, California, a woman bravely held onto the hood of a moving car in order to rescue her cherished French bulldog who had been stolen by a thief.
On January 18, there was an incident outside of a Whole Foods supermarket where a woman took a dog from its owner, Ali Zacharias.
The woman brought the dog named Onyx to a white car where someone else was driving.
With great bravery, Zacharias was determined to prevent the thieves from escaping after they took Onyx. He fearlessly leaped onto the car's hood and held on tightly as it raced through a bustling street in Los Angeles.

Zacharias recounted the incident to CBS News, explaining that he was determined to not give up on the car and clung onto the windshield wipers. He was taken by surprise as the car continued to drive down the block and gain speed, causing him to panic and fear for his life.
There is also a widely shared video capturing the incident which displays Zacharias gripping onto the car's hood.
Zacharias recounted the incident to NBC News in a TikTok video, sharing that when her dog pulled on the leash, she initially thought he just wanted to go smell something, so she let go. However, she was surprised to see a woman holding her dog and walking away with him. Determined to retrieve her pet, Zacharias positioned herself in front of the car and firmly stated that they couldn't leave because they had her dog. Despite her pleas, the individuals in the car chose to drive towards her, eventually causing her to fall onto the hood of their vehicle. Undeterred, Zacharias refused to back down and proclaimed that she wouldn't leave until her dog was returned to her. Unfortunately, the individuals in the car drove away, leaving her in a state of distress.
Regrettably, Zacharias' brave attempt to save her cute dog was unsuccessful. She managed to hold on for a short distance until the car suddenly veered and caused her to be thrown off, resulting in only minor injuries like cuts and bruises. Unfortunately, Onyx is still not found.
"No matter what I'm doing, I can't help but feel sad that I'm not doing it with Onyx or that he's not experiencing it. For example, when I go grocery shopping, I think about how I'm not buying anything for him. It's hard to believe how quickly time has passed. It feels like this just happened, and yet it's already been 10 days," she expressed.
The Los Angeles Police Department is currently engaged in a thorough investigation of the crime, which involves the examination of security footage, as reported by CBS.
