CMA Fest will undergo significant changes in the upcoming years due to the impending construction of a new stadium for the Tennessee Titans.
After hosting the festival's main shows for a number of years, the current Nissan Stadium will be replaced by a new venue where the shows will be held.
According to the Country Music Association, they have ongoing plans to collaborate with the Tennessee Titans annually during CMA Fest. They are excited to host country music fans in Nashville for the nightly concerts in the recently built stadium.
A brand new stadium, appropriately called the New Nissan Stadium, is going to be constructed on the eastern side of the current Nissan Stadium, located along the East Bank of the Cumberland River. The construction is planned to commence this year and the stadium is expected to be completed and open by 2027.
Fans of country music can continue to reach the New Nissan Stadium from downtown Nashville by utilizing the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.
In contrast to the Titans' present stadium, the upcoming venue will be an enclosed structure specifically designed to enhance the fan experience. It will offer breathtaking views of Nashville, feature a see-through roof, and include 12,000 square feet of community space that can be utilized throughout the year.
CMA Fest, previously known as Fan Fair, is a remarkable event for country music fans. It originated in 1972 with a modest gathering of 5,000 enthusiasts at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium. Over the years, it has evolved into one of the largest annual events in the country music industry. With over 250 performances taking place on nine stages, CMA Fest attracts tens of thousands of attendees from around the world to Music City.
