Chris Young Shares Injuries from Police Run-In: A Look into the Controversial Incident

  • by

Chris Young displayed the injuries he sustained during his altercation with officers from the Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC), which occurred prior to his recent arrest. The injuries were just as painful as they appeared.

The singer shared with his fans on Tuesday (Jan. 30) the bruises he got when a police officer forcefully pushed him, resulting in him losing his balance and falling into the corner of a bar. The bruises he sustained consist of two noticeable and dark marks: one on the inner part of his arm and the other on his lower back.

In his post, Young expresses his discomfort with how close something is to his spine. He accompanies his words with a photo and sets his post to a clip of "Don't Stand So Close to Me," a popular song from the 1980s by the British rock band, the Police.

In the section where comments were left on Young's post, a lot of his fans showed understanding towards his experience. However, there were also some individuals who supported the actions of the officers.

A commenter questions the justification of the actions of the individuals in question, stating that by taking legal action against them, it could potentially prevent similar situations from occurring in the future.

One person expresses their opinion that it is not right to interfere with someone's employment. They cannot sympathize with the person, but they still enjoy their music.

Earlier this month, the actor known for his role in "Young Love & Saturday Nights" was taken into custody at a bar called the Dawg House in Nashville. He was arrested on multiple charges, including disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and assaulting a police officer.

However, the video evidence of the occurrence, captured by security cameras and fellow bar-goers, presents a contrasting narrative. In the footage, Young is seen behaving respectfully and compliantly with the officers during his arrest. He only lightly touches one of the officers before being forcefully pushed backward and over a bar.

The charges against the singer were dismissed, and Young then confidently responded to those who criticized him for making contact with the officer.

Since all charges against Young have been dropped, he is no longer legally involved in the incident. He will probably go back to focusing on promoting his upcoming album, Young Love & Saturday Nights, scheduled to be released on March 22.
