In the near future, CMA Fest will undergo significant changes due to the upcoming construction of a new stadium for the Tennessee Titans. The event will not be the same as it has been in the past.
After being the venue for the festival's main shows for many years, the current Nissan Stadium will be replaced by a new venue once it is finished.
The Country Music Association has expressed their intention to collaborate with the Tennessee Titans annually during CMA Fest. They are excited about hosting country music fans in Nashville for the evening concerts that will take place in the newly built stadium.
A brand new stadium, appropriately called the New Nissan Stadium, is going to be constructed on the eastern side of the current Nissan Stadium, along the East Bank of the Cumberland River. The construction is expected to start this year, and the stadium is projected to be ready for opening in 2027.
People who enjoy country music will have the opportunity to reach the New Nissan Stadium in downtown Nashville by using the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.
The new venue for the Titans will be a closed facility that is specifically designed to enhance the fan experience. It will offer panoramic views of Nashville, have a transparent roof, and provide 12,000 square feet of community space that can be utilized throughout the year.
CMA Fest, initially known as Fan Fair, is an extraordinary event for country music enthusiasts. It originated in 1972 with a modest gathering of 5,000 fans at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium. Over the years, it has grown into one of the largest and most significant annual events in country music. With attendees from all over the world, tens of thousands of fans come together in Music City to witness over 250 performances on nine distinct stages.
