Chris Young displayed his injuries from a confrontation with officers from the Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) before his recent arrest. The encounter was just as physically distressing as it appeared.
The singer revealed to his fans on Tuesday (Jan. 30) the bruises he got when an officer forcefully pushed him, causing him to lose his balance and trip over the edge of a bar. These injuries consist of two significant and discolored bruises: one situated on the inner part of his arm, and the other on his lower back.
In his post, Young expresses his discomfort with the close proximity of something to his spine. He accompanies the post with a clip of "Don't Stand So Close to Me," a popular song from the British rock group the Police that was released in 1980.
Many fans showed their sympathy towards Young's experience in the comments section of his post, while there were also some who defended the actions of the officers.
One person in the comments section questions the morality of allowing such actions to occur and suggests that by taking legal action, it can help prevent similar incidents from happening to others.
One person expresses their opinion, stating that they don't think someone should interfere with someone else's job, and they don't feel sorry for them. However, they also mention that they still enjoy the person's music.
Earlier this month, the actor from "Young Love & Saturday Nights" was taken into custody at the Dawg House in Nashville. He was charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and assaulting a police officer.
However, when examining the video evidence of the event, including footage from security cameras and recordings made by other individuals present in the bar, a contrasting narrative emerges. The footage depicts Young as respectful and compliant towards the officers during his arrest. It shows that he barely made contact with one of the officers before the individual forcefully pushed him backwards and over a bar.
The accusations against the singer were dismissed, and Young then confidently responded to those who criticized him for making contact with the officer.
After having all charges against him dismissed, Young is no longer legally affected by the incident. It is expected that he will resume his promotional activities for his upcoming album, Young Love & Saturday Nights, set to be released on March 22.
