In Los Angeles, California, a woman displayed great bravery by clinging onto the hood of a moving car in order to rescue her cherished French bulldog from a thief.
On January 18, an incident occurred outside of a Whole Foods supermarket where a lady approached Ali Zacharias, the owner of a dog, and abruptly took the pet away from her.
The woman transported Onyx, her dog, to a white car that was being operated by another individual.
Fearlessly, Zacharias was determined to prevent the thieves from escaping with Onyx. He bravely leaped onto the front of the vehicle and held on tightly as it accelerated through a crowded street in Los Angeles.

Zacharias recounted how he firmly grasped onto the windshield wipers, determined not to release his grip on the car. As they continued driving down the street, their speed increasing, he found himself overwhelmed with fear for his life. This vivid account was shared by Zacharias during an interview with CBS News.
There is a video that has become widely popular online, which captures the incident and displays Zacharias clinging onto the car's hood.
Zacharias recounted the incident to NBC News, explaining that when he tugged on the leash, he assumed that his dog wanted to go investigate something, so he let go. However, to his surprise, he noticed that a woman had grabbed hold of his dog and was walking away with him. In an attempt to stop them, Zacharias positioned himself in front of their car and insisted that they could not leave because they had his dog. Despite his efforts, they drove towards him, ultimately causing him to fall onto the hood of their car. Even so, Zacharias refused to give up and firmly stated that he would not leave until they returned his dog. In a TikTok video that captured the incident, he can be seen clinging onto the car as they tried to drive away.
Regrettably, Zacharias' brave attempts to save her lovable puppy were unsuccessful. She managed to hold on for a short distance before the car abruptly changed direction, causing her to fall off and sustain minor injuries like cuts and bruises. Unfortunately, Onyx is still not found.
"I feel a sense of sadness whenever I engage in any activity because I realize that I am not doing it with Onyx, and he is missing out on experiencing it. For example, when I go grocery shopping, it saddens me that I am not buying anything for him. It's surprising how quickly time has passed, as it feels like this situation just occurred, but it's already been 10 days," she expressed.
CBS reports that the Los Angeles Police Department is currently conducting an investigation into the crime, which involves thoroughly examining security footage.
