Brave Woman Clings to Moving Car in Desperate Attempt to Save Stolen Dog

  • by

In Los Angeles, California, a woman displayed immense bravery when she resorted to extreme actions to rescue her cherished French bulldog from a thief.

On January 18, an incident took place outside of a Whole Foods grocery store. During this incident, a woman approached Ali Zacharias, who was the owner of a dog, and forcefully took the pet away

The woman picked up the dog, whose name is Onyx, and took him to a white car that was being driven by another person.

Bravely, Zacharias was determined not to allow the thieves to escape with Onyx. He leaped onto the car's hood and held on tightly as it raced through a crowded street in Los Angeles.

Zacharias recounted how he firmly refused to release his grip on the car, gripping onto the windshield wipers. In no time at all, the vehicle began to accelerate as they drove down the street, causing Zacharias to panic and fear for his life.

A video capturing the event has also become extremely popular online, showing Zacharias gripping onto the car's hood.

Zacharias recounted the incident in a TikTok video, explaining that when he tugged on the leash, she assumed he just wanted to sniff something, so she let go. However, she was surprised to see a woman holding her dog and walking away. Determined to get her dog back, Zacharias positioned herself in front of the car and firmly told the woman that she couldn't leave because her dog was still with her. Despite her protests, the people in the car continued to drive towards her, causing her to fall onto the hood of the car. Even after falling, Zacharias remained steadfast, refusing to leave without her dog. Eventually, the car drove off, leaving her without her beloved pet.

Regrettably, Zacharias' brave attempt to save her cute puppy did not succeed. She managed to hold on for a short distance before the car abruptly changed direction, causing her to be thrown off and suffer only minor injuries. Unfortunately, Onyx is still not found.

"I feel a sense of sadness whenever I'm engaged in any activity because I wish I could be doing it with Onyx or that he could be a part of it. Even when I'm grocery shopping, I can't help but think that I'm not buying anything for him. It's astonishing how quickly time has passed. It feels like this situation just occurred, but it's already been 10 days," she expressed.

The Los Angeles Police Department is currently conducting an active investigation into the crime, which involves a thorough examination of security footage, as reported by CBS.
